About the event
This concert examines the theme of motherhood through contemporary art songs and Pergolesi’s rendition of Stabat Mater, a 13th-century Christian hymn to the Virgin Mary that depicts her suffering as mother during the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Leah Bondy and Sarah Storms will present various aspects of motherhood, highlighting its different qualities at each stage.
