Colborne Street United Church

100th Anniversary Banner
This Banner was developed in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the United Church of Canada that was celebrated on June 10, 2025. It contains a 100 year history of Colborne Street United Church, Empress United Church and Robinson United Church, their amalgamation, and will remain forever on display at the Church as a reminder of its history. Mark Richardson was instrumental in creating the Banner, gathering the history information to be included, and leading its production with help from Grant Maltman, Curator of the Banting House Museum and Mike Baker, the retired Curator of the Elgin County Museum. With thanks to Grant Maltman, the unit on which the Banner is resting, was donated to Colborne by Banting House, while Mike Baker contributed his expertise in designing the Banner. Mark with Mike's help, also organized and captioned photographs that are on display in the Carrothers Library at the Church. As Mark said, " These together exhibit the faith journey we have made over 100 years".
