Christmas Gift Giving Sunday

 Items on the Christmas Wish Lists and Care Packages of the agencies and organizations we support, along with donation options, are listed below.

GIFT CARDS: This year we plan to make use of an option, FundScript. Donations should be identified as: “For Local Outreach, Gift Donation; may be sent by e-transfer or included in Sunday Givings envelopes. Cash or cheque are also welcome, and may also be left in the box marked for gifts that will be under the Christmas Tree in the Sanctuary on December 14, 2025. Name or Envelope Number must be shown when cash or cheque is deposited in the box, for contributions to be acknowledged in each person’s Annual Sunday Givings. Colborne will benefit from this equivalent-value purchase made by Local Outreach. If proposing to participate and “Give A Gift” this year, please give FundScript careful consideration.
Gift Cards may also be purchased personally by the donor, and donated by depositing in the box under the Christmas Tree. No Sunday Givings acknowledgement in this situation as no benefit to Colborne (other than sincere thanks).
Gift Cards needed are: President’s Choice (can be used at all Loblaw’s, No Frills and Shoppers Drug Mart stores), Metro, Sobey’s, Food Basics, FreshCo, Walmart, Giant Tiger, and Dollar Store. All In $10 denominations. Tim Horton’s - $5 denomination cards. Also, Adult Bus Tickets are needed.

TOILETRIES: Women and Men: Deodorant, Liquid Body Wash, Lip Balm, Lotion, Shampoo/Conditioner- large or small size, hairbrush, hair elastics/clips, toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, personal wipes, purse-size paper tissues.

OTHER ITEMS: New Socks (men & women), New large-size T-shirts with long sleeves. (men), knitted hats, scarves, mittens, gloves..

HOUSEHOLD: Toilet Paper, large box size tissues, hand soap, liquid laundry detergent, dish-washing liquid, reusable bags

GROCERY ITEMS: Non-perishable items, including jars and canned goods; individually wrapped oatmeal packets; easy-to-eat Cereals; other non-perishable food items. Also, Granola Bars, Cookies, Chips, Fruit Snack, Fruit Cups, Fruit Sauce, Juice Boxes, Crackers.

Christmas is a time to reflect on its true meaning. To celebrate the birth of Jesus and to remember the generosity of God’s greatest gift to humanity, His only son, Jesus.

Gift-giving at Christmas is more than just a tradition; it is a gesture of love and sacrifice. We can honour God’s generosity by giving to those in need. With sincere gratitude and thanks for every gift donated
