Local Outreach Committee
Colborne Street United Church aided by its Congregation, has a long-standing commitment to local outreach. The Local Outreach Committee seeks to be responsible in identifying, assessing need, and supporting, organizations that address local community needs. These community organizations are ones whose primary focus is persons living in poverty and in need of daily necessities, the marginalized, the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, men, women, children, youth, the disabled, those with mental health issues, those subjected to harassment, abuse, and/or intimate partner violence or abuse, and those released from custody in need of community support. Local Outreach continues its on-going support throughout the year, to the London Community Chaplaincy, Refuge Ministries Canada, The Caring Cupboard, 519 Pursuit, Indwell and Growing Chefs! Ontario Society. It also extends seasonal support to The Food Bank, My Sister’s Place, Life*Spin, and Rotholme Family Shelter among others.
